The Unsung Hero's comprise of two DJ's, Tim Dunning
(on the right) and Steve Morecroft (left). They started
off their career in the rave scene back in 1995 playing alongside some of the DJ's now recognised as major players in the hard house scene, such as DJ Brisk (Stimulant DJ), Billy 'Daniel' Bunter (Honey Pot), and Vinylgroover (Hectic). The highlight of this era was playing to over 2'500 people at Stevenage Ice Bowl after winning a national mixing competition.

DJ'ing Style

The love of almost all dance music genres has seen the unsung Hero's re-invent themselves time after time and they are now recognised as not only trance DJ's but also Funky house and staying true to their roots they still play old skool from 91-93. Technically they are inspired by the likes of DJ Brisk, Carl Cox and the DMC scratch DJs such as Q-Bert the Scratch Perverts.
They are well known for their down to earth attitude and ability to have a great presence behind the decks making contact with the crowd in ways more than just their music, they are natural born crowd pleasers.
Experience

The duo are used to international as well as UK gigs and in the summer of 2000 they became residents playing old skool and trance in Ayia Napa's Ice Ku and Club Inferno playing alongside Dj's such as Ferry Corsten, Lisa Pin
Up, Tiesto, Guy Ornadel and Graham Gold to name a few. Whilst out there they also made regular appearances for New Dawn @ Amnesia and the well loved Beach party @ Macronisis beach. A summer favourit of Rado 1's Trevor Nelson.
Half way through the summer The Unsung hero's had the offer to help kick start the clubscene in Lebanon , a decision had to be made so whilst Steve continued their contract in Ayia Napa Tim jetted off to Beirut to begin a residency playing pumping trance and hard house to over 2000 Lebanese clubbers weekly for three months.

Now

Since returning from abroad The Unsung Hero's have received bookings from all over the country, (Birmingham, Lichfield, Stoke, Stafford, Liverpool, London, Rugeley, Newcastle under Lyme, Tamworth, Redditch, Nottingham, Leicester, Coalville, Manchester and Plymouth) precisely mixing different styles (Hard House, Trance, Old Skool & Funk) which is earning them new friends and fans whenever they play with their crowd pleasing sounds and antics. With an ever growing demand these guys they can be found entertaining a packed dance floor most weekends. The list of clubs they have played at is second to none and it available at www.unsungdjs.co.uk/portfolio.htm

Versatility and the ability to play cutting edge sounds from different dance genres proves a big advantage over other DJ's. They are dj's born and breed, with
only the skies the limit for these guys.

Also catch them at the mighty Illusion's allnighter at the home of Golden, at the Void. They are also booked for New Years Eve at Religion in Nottingham and boxing day at Hotdog at Isis.

2003

With 2003 being a strange year in clubland and many clubs closing down its been an up and down year for the Unsung Heros.

Bookings have been great with sets at Passion, Hidden, Blend, Love Zoo, Bambu, Bullit (residents), Illusion to name a few. The beginning of the year was hectic to say the least. The summer was a bit more chilled and then once again the end of the year has brought loads of bookings and a new residency at Bullit 2 - in Hanley, Stoke.

Next year will be bigger and better than ever so watch this space!

Peace and Out!!
